Tracker Set Checking Module
The Tracker Set Checking module enables the user to check which set a uniquely identified instrument is assigned to. When all instruments contained within a tray set are uniquely identified, the user can ensure there is no instrument migration between tray sets. If the instrument being checked does not belong to the tray set being checked, the correct tray set details will be displayed. This module can also be used as a training aid, as it is possible to display the image of the uniquely identified instrument being checked. All records generated are date, time, unique product and responsible operator stamped.
Key Dot Single Instrument Marking:
Key Dots provide the user with the most cost effective solution for uniquely identifying supplementary instruments and/or individual instruments contained within a tray set.
The Key Dots are small laser-engraved two-dimensional data matrix coded labels that can be adhered directly to the instrument surface. Key Dots have been thoroughly tested for sterility and biocompatibility and are safe for use on surgical instruments.
With uniquely identified Key Dots starting from just 3.2mm in diameter, even small surgical devices can be marked. The uniquely identified Key Dots range in size from 3.2mm to 9.5mm in diameter.
Key Dots can be provided with unique serial numbers or with a hospital’s unique GS1 coding structure.
When used in conjunction with Tracker and the Tracker Set Checking module, Key Dots provide a method to comprehensively generate records of tracking, traceability and quality audit trails for uniquely identified tray set contents and supplementary items.
The Key Dot works like a license plate. It ‘links’ a specific instrument to a data file within your software application, allowing that instrument to be tracked throughout the complete decontamination cycle. Instruments uniquely marked with the Key Dot are scanned using a two-dimensional barcode reader.
Key Dot Application Process:
Clean the application area, using rubbing alcohol and a clean wipe. Please use a gloved hand for this process to avoid contact with the skin.
Lift the Key Dot from the sheet using the tweezers provided in the pack.
Using the tweezers place the Key Dot on the item to be marked.
Apply firm pressure to the full surface area of the Key Dot in a circular action working from the centre of the dot to the outer edge using the plastic applicator supplied.
